The 14 Week Bump

Tomorrow the baby will be 15 weeks.  Feeling much better overall.  I scheduled my ultrasound for roughly 9 weeks from now, which will put me at 24 weeks before we find out the gender.  I know...not excited to have to wait that long, but it was the first time that worked out for everyones schedules.  I have my own strong suspicions already and you know what they say about that...

Vote:
I've added a gender vote on my sidebar.  Please add yours!   Due to technical difficulties I have taken it down.  I'll work on getting another one up that actually keeps the votes for more than a day!

Cravings?
Thankfully they have pretty much subsided.  Although the other day I was craving mango salsa and we had friends over for dinner who randomly showed up with mango salsa!!!  Imagine that!  Guess who was thrilled??

Big Brothers
Kasen has been an awesome big brother to Kelton and is thrilled to be a big brother to another little one soon.  He is hoping for a sister, but said he would be "okay" with another brother...  Yesterday while I was completely absorbed in some browsing at the mall, Kasen loudly exclaimed, "Look Mommy!!  Here's your boobs!!!"  So he thinks a bra is called boobs...hmmmm...I should probably fix that one before he gets much older :-)

Also, BIG NEWS!  Kelton is almost entirely potty trained completely on his own!  I had not planned to start trying with him for several months or more (it was only 1 year ago that Kasen got completely potty trained), but he insisted on going "poopy in the potty" so I figured I would let him satisfy his curiosity.  That was all it took!  Now he insists on it every time!  I am soooooo happy for this development.  We might possibly be done with diapers by the time our littlest one arrives in a few months so we can start again ;-)

Weekly Wisdom
“The most important thing she’d learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.” – Jill Churchill
A friend shared this today at our mom's group.  Loved it!

Movement
I know it's early, but I swear I feel our newest active one.  I get flutters for about 20-30 minutes several times each day.  I always felt Kasen and Kelton early as well, and after 2 babies the feeling is pretty easy to remember.

The Name Game
We will be planning another K name for our littlest one. There are no hard and fast rules except that we must love the name...so please feel free to comment at some point with name ideas.  We really haven't given it much thought up to this point, so feel free to help us out :-)

  1. Love these posts :). So glad we got to see you this week - thanks SO much for having us!!
I love the name Keira or Kira - too bad there's Keira Knightley :P. I don't like naming after famous people but if I really loved the name, I'd probably do it anyway. :) Also love the name you mentioned for a girl. It's timeless.
