As said previously so much has been going on the last few weeks that I have not posted and kept you up to date with our lives. So here goes…
First, Kasen is smiling all the time and is almost laughing. The laugh is a goo-ing sound, but is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard! The look he gives while goo-ing is beyond priceless.
He also found his thumb….
And is sleeping more and longer!
Papa Price visited from MI for a few days and we went to the Wild Animal Park and experienced the butterfly exhibit. It was magical to be in a place with so many butterflies floating and landing on you. (The exhibit is still going on for a few more days SoCal friends).
Next, I visited my extremely hot dentist last week. He gave me a checkup and cleaning. All is well—just need to come back in 6 months. Kasen joined as well, but was babysat for the first time by Uncle Brit during my x-rays.
We also threw a surprise birthday party for Brit on Easter.
I had LASIK eye surgery on Thursday. The verdict is still out if I like it as much as I thought I would since it takes a while for your eyes to heal and stop adjusting. In the meantime, I just love sleeping in goggles (kidding).
Also, we finally broke down and bought a NEW car!
We bought a Honda CRV. We really like Honda's; this is now the 3rd Honda we've owned. It’s brand new and we got an amazing deal since the dealers wanted to move the cars to make room for the incoming 2010 models. We had actually test driven the CRV 3 times—the first time over 2 years ago, but never got up the nerve to actually dive into purchasing one until now. With 2 cars running, but not necessarily reliable, we decided to finally get something that is dependable, safe, and actually looks nice;-) It’s a huge blessing both cars have made it so long—that and the fact that Kai put a lot of hard work into them to keep them running, but it was time for something new. It has everything we were looking for in a car.
-Leather seats that will wipe clean from kid spills
-Voice activated everything, including navigation so I don't have to be distracted trying to adjust the temperature or find my way around town
-Roof rack—for hauling surfboards, snowboards, skis, bikes, and/or whatever else
-Sun/moon roof—just because we love that feature
-All the other fun stuff that comes on a new car--and actually works:-D
I know many of you have gone through many new cars, but this was a first for us, so I hope you don’t mind me sharing some of my excitement with you.
P.S. Sold the Accord in 2 hours on Craigslist
