Week 38 and a 1/2

(I had to include one where I'm wearing a maternity outfit instead of the boring black and white regular outfit!)

How far along:  38 1/2 weeks

Best Moment of the Week:  Last week I had a great baby shower brunch with local friends from K's playgroups.  It was so much fun and we got all kinds of awesome gifts for our new little guy.  It was a completely different shower than I've ever had before.  The food was all maple themed because of the start of maple syrup season here and every present we received was made from organic, all natural products.  Several gifts were even wrapped in cloth instead of paper!  Very cool!

Movement:  He’s slowing down a little now probably because he’s out of room.  He still stretches and moves quite a bit, but it’s not as sudden and jerky.

Food Craving: Now that I’ve been on iron for a few weeks my ice cravings are gone.  No big cravings at the moment, although today we went out to brunch with some great friends at a Victorian Inn and had some of the best food I’ve had in my life!!!  K ate his fill too, eating as much or more than I did!  He surprises us like that at times.

What I'm looking forward to: There are soooo many changes taking place right now.  Life is so crazy!!  At the moment I am just ready to meet this little guy and be done with pregnancy.  I love being pregnant, but the last month is soooo hard!  My list of complaints are: not being able to sleep well, back aches, not being able to bend over easily, etc., etc.  But who likes to hear all of the complaints?  On a positive note, people are even more friendly (if that’s possible in our state which I swear has the largest grouping of the friendliest people on earth!) when you’re huge with child.  I get help all the time—from the grocery store to the airlines to the doctor’s offices.  I will miss the special treatment once pregnancy is over.  ;-)

Weekly Wisdom:  A parent's love is whole no matter how many times divided.  ~Robert Brault

Big Brother:  Have I mentioned what a great helper he is lately???  Wow!  This week it seemed we had a doctor’s appt everyday trying to get everything in before I go into labor (K’s 2 year checkup, dermatology appt.’s, OB, and a couple others—our insurance is going to love us!).  Well, K made friends with everyone at every single appt.  From the nurses and doctors all the way to the other patients in the waiting room.  At one point he had 4 different people all playing cars with him.  It was a huge relief because it’s much harder for me to get on the floor and play with him myself at this point.

Also this week at church, he took a spill and got a nasty rug burn that runs the whole length of his nose.  It looks absolutely terrible and will likely still be there for our first family pictures when our new little one arrives.  I feel so bad for him every time I look at him.  Poor little guy!  He was really tough though and handled it well.  He did catch a glimpse of himself in the mirror while we were brushing his teeth and stared for a long while at his road rash.  I don’t think he liked what he saw either. :-(  It was really cute to see him look so puzzled though!

Weight:  Several people have asked about how much weight I’ve gained this pregnancy.  I've found that pregnancy affects every woman’s body differently and I’ve had friends that have gained 100 pounds and others that have gained 5 pounds and the shock of it all is that even those that have gained 100 pounds have had it all come back off after the baby comes.  Soooo…with that said, I’ve had a personal goal with each pregnancy to gain in the neighborhood of 20 pounds because for me it seems that weight doesn’t just pour back off of me when I want it to like it seems to for other people.  With K I gained 19 pounds and with this pregnancy I have gained 20 so far, but he’s not here yet, so who knows what the final number will be…  Honestly I don’t think my body could handle much more than that (see my list of complaints above).

Hopefully my next post will be pictures of our new little guy... :-)

The Belly at 30 Weeks

How far along:  30 weeks (Oops!  I got ahead of myself last week.  I’m actually just over 30 weeks now.)

Best Moment of the Week: Planning for our vacation in a couple of weeks.  Although everything has been overshadowed by the unexpected passing of my grandpa last week.  I’m working on a post regarding that, but I’ve been busy going through old pictures and mentally sorting through all the memories.  He was a great grandpa and will be greatly missed.  :-(

Movement:  Honestly, it feels like he’s walking across my stomach all the time.  The weirdest feeling is when he moves his hands and feet at the same time and my stomach gets tickled all over from the inside.  I can’t wait to meet this little active guy!

Food Craving: Healthy stuff!  After the holidays I don’t want to see any more junk!  Our fridge is stocked with fresh fruit and veggies.  Tonight we had veggie pitas with homemade cucumber dressing, chickpea and roasted veggie salad, and fruit salad.  Also had some Martinelli’s to drink in our pretty wine glasses.

What I'm looking forward to: Family vacation soon!

Weekly Wisdom:  "You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment. ~ "Things That It Took Me 50 Years to Learn""
Author: Dave Barry

Big Brother:  LOVES trains!!  Even though we don’t have a TV, I’ve been letting K watch a few online Netflix movies of Thomas the Train once in a while.  It’s so cute to watch him get soooo excited about it.  He yells, “Choo Choo Train!!  Choo Choo Train!!”  I have no doubt he’ll introduce his baby brother to trains as soon as he arrives.

The Name Game:  I think we have the first name picked, but now we’re trying to decide on the middle name…

Biggest Fear:  How do you divide your love between 2 kids??  I've been so nervous over making sure both kids know they are equally loved without loving either of them less, but I have no idea how I'm going to do that...

The Belly--21 1/2 weeks

Do you see the growing bump??  Here's last time's progress.  I think I'm definitely bigger this time around.

How far along:  21 1/2 weeks

Best Moment of the Week: Finding out that after our big scare, everything is okay with our little guy.  Saw the doctor twice last week and got the gold star both times :-)  We have an ultrasound scheduled again next week, so we’ll get another peek and verify either the 85% or 15%.  Woo hoo!

Also, we had a great date this weekend.  We went and saw the TSO, which was a lot different than what we expected, but we still had a good time.  We ate some great food, visited a new state, and started the Christmas season in our home.  Yes, the Christmas tunes are now playing regularly.  I’ll wait to decorate a little longer though.

Movement:  This little guy is a strong kicker just like his older brother!  He kicks K incessantly when he’s sitting on my lap for story time.  I think feeling the baby move is probably my favorite part of pregnancy.

Food Craving: Korean and Mexican food together also known as Kogi.  It’s way better than it sounds!!

What I'm looking forward to: My mom is coming for Thanksgiving in a week and a half!  I can hardly wait to see her!  We’re also planning to buy a few big things this year on Black Friday, so I’m gearing up for that (hoping we can get a few baby deals too).  I LOVE Black Friday!!  Though this year will be much colder!

Weekly Wisdom:  A mother's joy begins when new life is stirring inside... when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone.

Big Brother:  I just have to share a super cute thing that K does all the time lately--SING!!  When we do our nightly routine of singing before bedtime, he has been singing along and doing the hand motions.  And when we're listening to music, or even when he's just playing, he'll belt out the tunes!   It's the cutest thing ever!!

Nursery: We’ve been debating having the boys share a room or just giving them separate rooms.  Also in the debate is whether to get another crib or give K a big boy bed now.  I go back and forth about both of these things almost every week.  If you have any words of wisdom on either of these issues, please feel free to share!

Early Morning Pregnancy Scare

Yesterday morning I woke to find that I had had a little spotting during the night.  To say the least, I freaked and immediately called the doctor who immediately got me in for a checkup and concluded that everything appeared to be okay, but gave me a few restrictions until we can be sure the bleeding has stopped completely. :-(  I was thankful to hear our little guy's heartbeat (which was 150) and showed no signs of distress.  I also spent the day majorly tuned into counting kicks just to make sure he was still okay.

The good news is that he's still as active as ever, the bad news is that I'm not.  No longer can I go running until the doctors feel comfortable about the situation.  This news made me a little sad until I thought about the alternative, and then I realized a month or two of non-running is fine.  So in the meantime, I will be doing much more walking and maybe even some swimming.   I'm very thankful that my restrictions were fairly mild and that I can still carry on with normal life.  However, today I'm staying home and enjoying K, trying to let my body do what it needs to do in order to keep our little guy safe and sound for another 19 weeks.  I'm so excited to meet our new little bundle of energy, just not quite yet.

The Belly Update--17 Weeks

How far along:  17 weeks

Next week we could find out the gender, but I will be out of town, so we’ll be finding out in 2 WEEKS!!!!   I can hardly wait!  The suspense is killing me!!

Best Moment of the Week:
Had my monthly checkup yesterday and heard the little one’s heartbeat!  It was 160 again, so…???  Also found a new hair stylist and am very happy.  After over 10 years of Aveda salons, they’re all I trust.  I did a search on their webpage, had 3 options and am very happy with the one I chose.  No more mom hair.  Okay, maybe still a little because I’m trying to let it grow out again.   Oh and we got our family pictures done this morning.  I'll post some as soon as I get them!  Busy week!

Movement: Tons!!!  Especially at night!  The kicks and rollings are getting stronger and more frequent.  Another active little one!  Kai could feel the baby a lot this week too.  It's so fun to have him be more a part of this now!

Food Craving: None.  I'm perfect and never have cravings.  Okay, major confession...I was getting my prenatal vitamin prescription filled and saw Skittles on sale.  I hardly ever eat these (honestly it's been years), but I had a seriously strong craving all of the sudden so I bought 2 packs, and enjoyed them both.  Yikes!  Can’t do that very often!  Although I have this to say about that:  Why purple ones???  Personally I love the reds and can't get enough, but I had to leave all the purple's in the pack because they made me sick.  Okay, so maybe it was the fact that I ate 2 packs of Skittles that made me sick.  If you love purples, we'd get along great.  I'll trade you purples for your reds :-)

What I'm looking forward to: Heading to MI to be with Kai’s mom as she’s recovering.  Looking forward to seeing her and spending some quality time.  Also looking forward to seeing some friends and family while I’m there.

Weekly Wisdom: Pregnant women! They had that weird frisson, an aura of magic that combined awkwardly with an earthy sense of duty. Mundane, because they were nothing unique on the suburban streets; ethereal because their attention was ever somewhere else. Whatever you said was trivial. And they had that preciousness which they imposed wherever they went, compelling attention, constantly reminding you that they carried the future inside, its contours already drawn, but veiled, private, an inner secret.

The Belly--Week 16

How far along:  16 weeks (4 months!!)

Baby Size:  Supposedly it’s the size of an avocado.  I’m saying it’s one BIG avocado because I feel larger everyday!

Best Moment of the Week: Boston in the Fall!  LOVE that place!

Movement:  I’ve been busy this week with family here, so I haven’t been as in tune as I would like to be.  Still feeling the flutters, but when I’m running around I don’t notice them as much.

Food Craving: Had fresh apple cider, fresh apples, and fresh apple cider donuts.  Yummmm! Definitely a fall favorite.

What I'm looking forward to: A lazy week.  Had family here for 2 weeks (such fun times!) and I’m planning to head back soon to be with Kai’s mom as she recovers from surgery.  I have to do this trip alone and I’m not looking forward to the long drive or being a “single” mom for the time I’m away (as I’ve said before:  Kai is a great dad and helps so much with K), but I'm looking forward to helping her through this tough time.  So this week will be as relaxed and normal as I can make it apart from my OB appt, hair appt, and family pictures.

Weekly Wisdom:  Life is always a rich and steady time when you are waiting for something to happen or to hatch.
-- E.B. White, Charlotte's Web

Big Brother:  K got to know Grandma and Papa a lot more this week!!  His new favorite word is “Papa” which he says all the time.  They will be missed.

  2. Bought Kai some new clothes from J.Crew and Banana Republic outlets.  (He’s not a big shopper and desperately needed some new things.  BTW, he looked super hot on our date last night!)
  3. Tried on a few clothes for myself and thought for sure that the baby growing in my tummy was much larger than the supposed avocado the pregnancy email told me about!
  4. Shopped at Gymboree and Carters outlets for K but didn’t find anything I loved this time
  5. Booked our photographer for family pictures

Something Told Me...

I knew I should have avoided the all-you-can-eat dessert bar.  After 15 pieces of pie, I really wanted to stop…
Okay, so maybe that’s not entirely true.  Here’s the real one:
(K wanted to be part of it this week.  Isn't he such a cutie?)
How far along:  15 weeks

Best Moment of the Week: Found out this week that our ultrasound would be moved up to 20 weeks!  Wahoo!  Not too much longer now!!

Movement: Lots of little flutters.  This baby is already very active and wants me to know it!

Food Craving: I gave in and got a skinny, decaf, soy, pumpkin spice latte.  Oooohhhhh it was heavenly!!!  I’m planning to get another today!

What I'm looking forward to: We are heading to Boston for the weekend.  The fall colors are just starting to pop and it’s gorgeous!!  So this year we’ll be “to Boston in the fall.”  I’ve been before in the fall, but it’s a first for Kai.  Oh and no sales tax on clothes is an added bonus!

Weekly Wisdom:  The most important thing she'd learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.

-- Jill Churchill

That one really hit home with me this week.

Big Brother:  K has been doing amazingly well with all the changes going on around him these last few months.  I don’t think he quite realizes that he’s going to be a big brother yet, but he’s getting so much more independent and is able to follow instructions (not that he always listens, but at least he can!).  It makes me so happy to watch him change from a baby into a “big kid”.  I realize the terrible 2’s are just around the corner, but I’m crossing my fingers that he keeps heading in this direction…

A Small Victory and a Minor Setback

You may remember that at my last OB appt. my doctor told me that I wouldn't be getting my ultrasound until 30 weeks.  Well, my health insurance called me this week to discuss the pregnancy wellness program they offer.  They wanted to go over the plan benefits with me and make sure I was planning to take full advantage of the birthing classes, lactation consultations, CPR training, home health care following delivery, etc.  Though I've already taken the classes and consider myself a semi-pro at breastfeeding (seriously, 19 months and counting should earn me that title), I think I still might take the refresher classes because I always seem to learn something new.

Anyway, she asked when my next ultrasound was scheduled and gasped when I told her how late it would be.  She told me that I needed to call the doctor back and tell him that I was very concerned with how late it was being scheduled and I wanted it sooner to make sure things were okay with the baby.  So I followed her directions precisely and it worked!  My ultrasound is now supposed to be scheduled around 20 weeks.  Fingers are crossed that our little one will not be shy on that day since I probably will not have another ultrasound after.  So for those of you that are in the "wait to find out" group still might get your wish ;-)

On that phone call I also received some potentially bad news as well.  The representative informed me that if we have a boy, the insurance won't cover circumcision.  She also told me that only about 50% of people are opting for that now.  I guess I just assumed it was still widely practiced.  In any case, we'll still have it done but will just have to pay the $500-$1,000 out of our pocket to have this "cosmetic" procedure done.  I thought it was a little weird that they'll cover someone to come in and help me cook, clean, etc. after the baby comes, but won't pay for male circumcision.  So originally I said that having a boy would be cheaper because we already have boy things.  Now, it may end up being more of a wash.  I'll be thrilled with either a boy or girl.  Just praying the little one is healthy.

The Belly Progress

How far along:  14 Weeks

Best Moment of the Week: Our trip to NYC!  We had so much fun and I completely am in love with that city (I am in love with several other cities too).

Food Craving: Over the weekend while in NYC, I had an intense craving for Japanese food.  Thankfully Kai succumbed and we ate at a little Japanese restaurant on Saturday night.  I had udon noodle soup, miso soup, and veggie sushi.  It was divine!!

What I'm looking forward to:  Kai’s brother flies in tonight and will be here for a week!  We’re all looking forward to seeing him again.  I’ll be preparing his very belated birthday present: a complete turkey dinner using a to-die-for recipe I found last year before Thanksgiving.  He really only wanted a Thanksgiving meal for his birthday (which was way back in April and found us is Madagascar, then graduation as soon as we got back, then his hospitalization, and our moving…)  Yeah, it’s been a crazy few months!! So I’m getting a little practice before Thanksgiving this year and I just might share the recipe on my blog in a few days…

Movement:  I think I may have felt the new little one.  I know it’s early, but I felt K early too and Kai felt K regularly a couple of weeks after I first felt him.  So, I will have to wait and see if the flutters continue and strengthen and then I’ll know for sure.

Biggest Pain of the Week:  My tailbone!  Sometimes I end up walking like an old lady for a few brief moments because of the sharp pain.  I’m pretty sure it’s just the shifting, pulling, and stretching that comes with pregnancy.

Weekly Wisdom:
There are three reasons for breast-feeding: the milk is always at the right temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can't get it.
-- Irena Chalmers

Yes, I’m still b/f and plan to keep it up until the next one arrives.  There are so many great reasons for it.  If you want to know more check out:  http://www.kellymom.com/bf/bfextended/ebf-benefits.html

A Bite of the Big Apple

Kai had a continuing ed course on Friday, so we packed up and headed into the big city. Secretly I've been looking forward to this trip ever since I found out about it. I've never been to NYC before. Kai's been a few times, but it was a first for me. I LOVED it!! From the very first day, I fell in love. Kai was sitting through his course, so I took K to Central Park to play. The cool-ish start to the fall weather was refreshing. Joggers and walkers were everywhere running the expansive exclusive area of Central Park. I knew if I lived there, I would join them every morning. There is something to be said for having workout partners or even just an exercise mentality in an area like Central Park. It made me miss my 3 longtime workout partners from LL! We may have to make a trip back just so we can see all the good friends we miss and rejoin my workout classes for a week--haha :-)

Okay, back to NYC. Horns were honking, birds were singing, and I could smell fresh coffee brewing every few blocks. The city was alive! After 20 minutes of hunting for free parking, I found a spot, noticed I only had 3 hours until I had to move from that spot, and so I quickly unloaded the stroller. I left the diapers in the car thinking I could make it 3 hours without them. Wrong! Playgrounds dot the perimeter of the Park every few blocks. After getting a little exercise while K devoured his breakfast of Mini-Wheats, we found a great spot on the other side of the park.  No sooner than I took K out of the stroller to play with the other kids, he promptly pooped his pants. Not the slight odor that can be ignored type, but rather the "I'M HERE AND PLAN TO MAKE MYSELF KNOWN" type. I debated long and hard and decided to give him some time to play before heading back across the park to change him. Besides, since I wasn't local, I figured no one could really hold it against me. I could be labeled the-mom-with-the-stinky-kid, but I wouldn't be around to deal with it. So K played and I talked. If anyone noticed the stink coming from my son, they didn't mention it thankfully. There were moms/nannies and kids galore! We had such a fun time playing and chatting. It was so nice to have mom conversations again. Soon enough I loaded him up, headed back and changed him, and took him to another park closer to our car. It was 3 hours well spent to start the weekend.

A typical self portrait taken on the subway.

This is taken at an amazing vegan restaurant that 4 separate friends (who don't even know each other) recommended, so we had to try it. Everything is organic and made from scratch. We started with an appetizer of ravioli and single servings of potato salad (pictured here) followed up by 2 entrees that were to die for. It was probably the best vegan food we've ever had! I have to come clean though. After an entire vegan dinner we topped it off with a big serving of "Birthday Cake Remix" ice cream from Cold Stone's.

These guys were playing in Grand Central Station and were awesome! We rocked it with them for several minutes en route to our next stop. They had a huge crowd which always makes it more fun.

Hans Christian Anderson (a long time family favorite) in Central Park

"Whoa! It's crowded in here!" Taking the subway around town. K flirted with all the girls and they all thought he was the most adorable thing. Of course it helps when they say, "Well, aren't you a handsome little guy!" to which he responds by signing "Thank you" which looks like he's blowing them a kiss. He makes lots of friends very quickly that way!

At ground zero on Sept. 11th. It was a very sobering experience. We watched part of the memorial on the hotel tv before we left since it was closed to anyone except family/etc. of the victims. I held it together pretty well until a roughly 10 year old boy stood up to read his portion of the names and at the end of his list paid tribute to his father killed in the attacks. Maybe it's my pregnancy hormones or maybe it's just being a parent, but I completely fell apart and turned into a blubbering mess. I can't imagine losing Kai and raising K to not know his amazing father. But I'm sure there were several families that found themselves in that tragic circumstance. My heart goes out to them.

I pulled it together and we went to see Ground Zero and the memorial under construction. It looks like it will be absolutely beautiful when it's completed. We saw protesters protesting that 9/11 was an inside job and other protesters protesting the mosque that's scheduled to be built 2 blocks from Ground Zero. I am in favor of religious freedom, but I also think there's something to be said for respect for the event that happened there. I personally think 2 blocks is a little too close to the tragic event that happened as a result of the extremists in the religion proposing the mosque. Religious freedom is everyone's constitutional right, but I think the issue at hand deals more with tact and respect than religious freedom.

A news van close to Ground Zero. All that comes to mind when I see this is that I'm sure a man designed this. I laugh every time. Enough said.

Brooklyn Bridge (I took this picture so I'm bragging just a little because I love how it turned out)

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge with Manhattan in the background. Quick embarrassing story: Apparently the baby hasn't moved up yet because I still have to pee all the time. I had to go before we started walking the bridge, but I couldn't find a bathroom anywhere. I figured I could make it to the other side and take care of it then. By the end of the bridge I was doing the potty walk and searching desperately for a bathroom. (Apparently all the Starbucks are on the Manhattan side, not the Brooklyn side.) The only place we found was a restaurant which had big signs declaring boldly that only customers could use the bathroom. We begged, I even played the pregnant card. No luck. We asked if we could just buy one of the packs of gum they had for sale at the register. "$2 minimum purchase." the hostess replied. 7 packs of gum later, the situation was resolved.

At the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center). You can see the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center memorial lights shining into the night sky.

Same

Reaching through the glass to the nothingness 70 stories below.

At the Rockefeller Center Ice Arena (at least in the winter months). In the summer months it's a restaurant hot spot.

THE BIG PIANO!! At F.A.O. Schwarz Toystore. These players were amazing!

They asked us to come up and perform--Just Kidding! But we were first in line after the presentation :-)

"Almost, almost, almost..."

Near Times Square. Our hotel was right on Times Square which was perfect because it seemed to be the heart of the action, but it was a little tough to maneuver a stroller through the big crowds. We saw live concerts, comedy clubs, and more taking place outside for all to enjoy every time we strolled through.

It's hard to notice, but it was actually pouring rain. We gave up our umbrella for this picture and luckily you can't really tell that we're getting soaked, but we are. It's funny what we're willing to sacrifice for a picture. I never thought that would be good weather to see Lady Liberty in, but we had so much fun!
Here we are soaked and grabbing a burger on Liberty Island. I have 3 pictures like this and in all 3 at least 1 person is looking in a different direction, so I used this fantastic one of me looking like a ghost thanks to the flash ;-)

We realized that we are only 3 1/2 hours from NYC, so we'll definitely be heading back.

This was a much longer than usual post. I left out a fun little experience that I will make into another blog later this week. This was seriously as short as I could make this one. Thanks for making it through :-)

The Belly Pictures Begin

How far along: 13 Weeks

This week brings me officially out of the first trimester and into the “honeymoon” period of the 2
nd trimester! Wahoo!

Best Moment of the Week:
Kasen has been sleeping longer lately and graced me several 3 hour naps and 11 hour nights! It’s starting to make me think I may be able to do this mom-of-two thing in a few more months.

Movement: Not yet. It’s still a little early.
Food Craving: Still all healthy...luckily. Although a friend had us over for dinner on Monday and made an amazing quiche that I’ve been craving ever since!
What I'm looking forward to: We are headed to New York City today for continuing ed. We will be taking a long weekend and back on Sunday!!
Comparison: To see pictures from my last pregnancy click here to compare. Yup, I'm already bigger, sadly.

I borrowed this format from a blog I love: http://heatherhelvey.blogspot.com/

The Memo:

Dear Alldaymakeyouwishyouweredeadsickness,

Just in case you didn't realize, weren't otherwise informed, or just plain forgot, I thought I would give you the memo: You are supposed to be long gone by now. I have no desire to ever meet up with you again. I am over you. Pack your bags, and start on your way to make someone else's life miserable for the next 3 months. You were not appreciated in any way. Actually, I take that back. You made me value every moment when you weren't around and the healthiness I felt. Thank you for the reminder. Now please go.

Sincerely,

Me

This pretty much sums up my day yesterday:

+

=
I had such high hopes for the day, but spent most of the day sick triggered by 4 infamous corn diapers. Not sure why those set me off yesterday as I've dealt with them all summer, but they did. Summer is almost over and with it goes corn season. I just can't understand why Kasen prefers corn on the cob over all other vegetables. This is something I have to work on with him! This alldaymakeyouwishyouweredead sickness should be long gone by now. I've been making big improvements lately, so I thought the worst was over. I think on it's way out it wanted to give me something to remember it by. Thanks. Lovely. Glamorous.

On the upside, today has been great. NO sickness whatsoever. Ran 4 miles, took lunch to Kai, ran errands, and am now cleaning the house, making dinner, and listening to an audiobook. I have to make up for yesterday in which I can say my to do list sat abandoned and Kai had to come home and make a very bland dinner.
