Cast Your Vote

On Thursday I had my checkup with the doctor. He listened to the heartbeat, which was 160, and when I asked for an approximate time frame for the ultrasound to determine the sex of the baby, he told me I would have it at 30 weeks. 30 weeks!?!?! Last time, I had it at 18 weeks. HUGE difference!!! This sounded almost as hard as waiting until the baby was born to find out. I've had friends who have waited to find out until the baby arrived, but to be honest, I'm not that patient. I'm thinking of ways to find out earlier than that so I can start planning. I secretly have my own guess as to the baby's gender, but I won't share that yet. If it's a boy, the planning will be simple. I'll need another crib, bedding set, double stroller, and a few other things, but the clothes, etc. from the first time around will work fine seasonally because they'll be exactly 2 years apart. If it's a girl, I'll need more than 10 weeks to get things ready. With that said, please cast your vote. On the sidebar to the right is a poll. I'd love to know what you think since as it stands right now I won't know officially for another 16 weeks. Ugh! (I hope you can hear the serious disgust in my voice right now.)

The Name Game: For a boy the names are narrowed to 5 which includes one that Kai absolutely loves and I absolutely do not like, but am at least considering because of the degree to which he's pushing for it (He's cute when he tries to be persuasive). The girl name is decided and has been since we were discussing names for our little guy if he had been a girl. The middle names for both are still undecided.
